ALPINE CHEESE FONDUE RECIPE
A nice
cheese fondue recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups grated Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- grated cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- a bud of garlic
- 1 cup white port wine
- a dash of nutmeg
- French or Italian bread
1. Have 2 cups grated Swiss
cheese in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons flour and 1 tablespoon cornstarch to grated
cheese and toss together in bowl. Add this mixture 1/3 at a time to hot wine mixture.
2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in
fondue pan on stove. Slice a bud of garlic in melted butter. Cook on low heat, take garlic out. Add 1 cup white port wine, bring to a simmer.Stir and bring to gentle boil. Continue cooking until mixture strings from spoon. Add a dash of nutmeg. Put on
fondue stand and keep bubbly. Serve with toast strips or cubes of French or Italian bread (cut bread so each cube has a crust on edge). The
