CRAB & CHEESE FONDUE RECIPES

CHEESE FONDUE RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. canned chicken broth
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/4 lb. American cheese
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. Alaska King or Snow crab
  • 1/4 c. sherry
  • 1 tsp. minced onions
  • 2 to 3 drops Tabasco

CHEESE FONDUE RECIPES INSTRUCTIONS
First of all melt butter in a heavy saucepan, over medium heat. And then blend in the flour, stir in the chicken broth, gradually. Next is to cook until thick and smooth. Cut up the cream cheese and the American cheese in chunks and add to the sauce mixture. Cook over low heat, stirring until cheeses are melted. Add remaining ingredients, heat thoroughly, but DO NOT boil. Pour in fondue pot for serving. Keep warm. Enjoy it !

SWISS CHEESE FONDUE RECIPES


CHEESE FONDUE RECIPES INGREDIENTS
  • 1 garlic cloves, cut
  • 1 c. dry white wine
  • 1/2 lb. Emmental cheese, grated
  • 1 lb. Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 2 liquor glasses kirsch
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • Tabasco sauce
  • Salt
  • Nutmeg
  • French bread, diced

CHEESE FONDUE RECIPES INSTRUCTIONS
First of all Into large cubes with crust on each cube. First rub the inside of an earthenware casserole with garlic. Pour in wine and place casserole over flame. When wine bubbles begin to rise to the surface, gradually add cheeses. Continue stirring with a wooden spoon until cheese has melted. Slowly add kirsch in which the cornstarch has been dissolved, stirring constantly. Add a dash of Tabasco sauce, salt, and nutmeg to taste. Place casserole over flame just high enough to keep fondue gently bubbling. Each guest spears a cube of bread with fork and dips into fondue. Serve 4 persons. Enjoy it !

CHEESE FONDUE RECIPE

Try this authentic Swiss Cheese Fondue recipe...a must try !
Cheese Fondue Recipe Ingredients

* 1/2 pound Swiss-style cheese such as Jarlsberg or Emmenthaler, shredded
* 1/2 pound Gruyere cheese, shredded
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch
* 1 garlic clove, peeled, halved crosswise
* 1 cup dry white wine
* 1 tablespoon lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon kirsch (cherry brandy)
* 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
* Pinch nutmeg
* Assorted dippers - cubed ham (skip for vegetarian option), blanched broccoli, carrots, or cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, chopped green bell peppers, cubed French bread (skip for wheat-free version), peeled and chopped apples or pears

Cheese Fondue Recipe Instructions
1 Place the shredded cheese and cornstarch in a plastic freezer bag. Seal, shake to coat the cheese with cornstarch. Set aside.








2 Rub the inside of a 4-quart pot with the garlic, then discard. Over medium heat, add the wine and lemon juice and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually stir the cheese into the wine. Stir constantly in a zig-zag pattern to prevent the cheese from seizing and balling up. Cook until the cheese is just melted and creamy. Do not let boil. Once smooth, stir in kirsch, mustard and nutmeg.








3 Transfer the cheese to a fondue serving pot, set over a flame to keep warm. If your pot is thin-bottomed, a lit candle will probably do. If thick-bottomed, you can use a small Sterno.








4 Arrange an assortment of bite-sized dipping foods on a lazy Susan around fondue pot.










5 Spear dipping foods with fondue forks or wooden skewers. Dip to coat with the cheese, and this great cheese fondue is ready to serve...bon appetit! enjoy it...

Cheese Fondue Recipes Ingredients
  • Half PC French Baguette
  • 1/2 lb (250 g) baby new potatoes (about 10) halved
  • 1 cup (250 mL) baby carrots
  • 1 cup (250 mL) cauliflower florets
  • 1 cup (250 mL) broccoli florets
  • 1 pkg (400 g) PC Swiss Fondue
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) Bella Tavola Strained Tomatoes - Plain
  • 2 tbsp (25 mL) drained capers
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and slightly crushed
Cheese Fondue Recipe Instructions

1. Cut baguette into bite-sized pieces.
2. Add potatoes to pot of cold, salted water. Bring to a boil. Boil for 10 to 12 minutes or until tender. Drain.
3. Meanwhile, in separate pan of boiling, salted water, cook carrots for 1 minute. Add cauliflower and continue to boil for 1 minute longer. Add broccoli; cook for 2 minutes longer or
until vegetables are tender-crisp. Drain.
4. Rub inside of fondue pot with garlic; discard garlic. Light candle under fondue pot to preheat.
5. In small saucepan, combine fondue, strained tomatoes and capers. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, whisking occasionally. Transfer mixture to heated fondue pot. Serve with
bread and vegetables for dipping.

Three-cheese fondue with champagne

CHEESE FONDUE RECIPES INGREDIENTS

• 4 teaspoons cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
• 1 1/4 cups dry (brut) champagne
• 1 large shallot, chopped
• 2 cups coarsely grated Gruyère cheese (about 7 ounces)
• 1 1/3 cups coarsely grated Emmenthal cheese (about 5 ounces)
• 1/2 cup diced rindless Brie or Camembert cheese (about 3 ounces)
• Generous pinch of ground nutmeg
• Pinch of ground white pepper
• 1 French-bread baguette, crust left on, bread cut into 1-inch cubes

CHEESE FONDUE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

Stir cornstarch and lemon juice in small bowl until cornstarch dissolves; set aside. Combine Champagne and shallot in fondue pot or heavy medium saucepan; simmer over medium heat 2
minutes. Remove pot from heat. Add all cheeses and stir to combine. Stir in cornstarch mixture. Return fondue pot to medium heat and stir until cheeses are melted and smooth and
fondue thickens and boils, about 12 minutes. Season fondue with nutmeg and white pepper. Place over candle or canned heat burner to keep warm. Serve with bread cube. The cheese fondue is ready to serve for 2 person....great taste..!

CHEESE - MUSHROOM BREAD FONDUE







CHEESE - MUSHROOM BREAD FONDUE
...try this nice cheese fondue recipe..great !

INGREDIENTS
  • 12 slices white bread
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter
  • 4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt, pepper, paprika

INSTRUCTIONS
Early in the day or day before, grease a 13 x 9 baking dish. Trim crust from bread and brush slices with butter. Cut each slices in half. Arrange half of bread in one layer in baking dish. Top with half of cheese and all of mushrooms. Repeat with remaining bread and cheese.

In large bowl, mix well eggs and remaining ingredients. Pour over bread and refrigerate, covered, for at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Uncover and bake 40 to 50 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. This cheese fondue recipe serves 8 persons....hmm...nice taste ! Enjoy it !

POTATO CHEESE FONDUE







POTATO CHEESE FONDUE

INGREDIENTS
  • 4 med. potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. coarsely grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Salt and pepper
  • Cayenne
  • Marjoram
INSTRUCTIONS
Cook potatoes in 3 cups water until mushy. Drain potatoes, reserving liquid; sieve potatoes. Melt butter in saucepan; add flour and cook without browning for a minute or two. Stir in potatoes with reserved liquid and milk. Blend until smooth and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the cheese and beat in the yolks. Continue beating until mixture is smooth, hot, and thick. Add a pinch of salt and cayenne. Crumble a pinch of marjoram over top.

Good dippers are bread, cooked turkey or ham cubes, or tiny cooked meatballs, raw cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, zucchini or sliced carrots. The Cheese fondue recipe of potato is ready...bon apetit !

BAKED CHEESE AND TOMATO FONDUE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 2/3 c. soft butter, divided
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard, divided
  • 1 (10 oz.) loaf Italian bread, unsliced
  • 3 c. grated Swiss cheese (3/4 lb.)
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • Pepper
  • 3 tbsp. grated onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained

INSTRUCTIONS
DAY BEFORE: Cream 1/3 cup butter with garlic and 1/2 teaspoon mustard. Remove ends of bread and cut loaf into 1/4 inch slices. Spread 1 side of each slice with butter mixture. Line bottom and sides of 2 quart casserole with bread slices, buttered side down. In a large bowl, combine cheese, onion, salt, paprika, pepper, and remaining mustard. Toss to blend well.

In a medium saucepan, melt remaining butter. Remove from heat; gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in tomatoes. Add a little of the hot mixture to eggs and stir. Pour all eggs into saucepan, stirring constantly. Arrange alternate layers of cheese mixture, remaining brad and tomato sauce in casserole, ending with bread, butter side up. Refrigerate overnight, covered.

NEXT DAY: Bake at 375 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until puffy and golden brown.
This is a casserole rather than a fondue as we usually think of it. It must be prepared one day before baking. The cheese fondue recipe is ready ...enjoy It !

  • 1 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese
  • 1 c. dry white wine
  • 4 tsp. cornstarch

INSTRUCTIONS
Rub fondue pot with clove of garlic. Grate or cube cheese and melt in double boiler. As it melts, thin with wine. Dissolve cornstarch in Kirsch and add to cheese mixture. Continue to stir and cook until thick. Pour into fondue pot and dunk cubed bread or fruit. The cheese fondue recipe is ready..nice ! Enjoy it !

  • 6 drops Worcestershire sauce

In saucepan, blend flour and butter until smooth. Remove from heat. Add milk and salt. Heat to boiling and stir over heat for 1 minute. Pour sauce into fondue pan. Add cheese, peppers and Worcestershire sauce. Keep warm and the cheese fondue recipe is ready to serve with corn chips.

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 cups grated Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • grated cheese

  • a bud of garlic
  • 1 cup white port wine
  • a dash of nutmeg
  • French or Italian bread
1. Have 2 cups grated Swiss cheese in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons flour and 1 tablespoon cornstarch to grated cheese and toss together in bowl. Add this mixture 1/3 at a time to hot wine mixture.

2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in fondue pan on stove. Slice a bud of garlic in melted butter. Cook on low heat, take garlic out. Add 1 cup white port wine, bring to a simmer.Stir and bring to gentle boil. Continue cooking until mixture strings from spoon. Add a dash of nutmeg. Put on fondue stand and keep bubbly. Serve with toast strips or cubes of French or Italian bread (cut bread so each cube has a crust on edge). The cheese fondue recipe is ready to serves 4 to 6 people....enjoy it !
